Do Work That Makes a Difference
Empowering Girls to Gain STEAM
Pretty Brainy respects girls as thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovators who use STEAM to give back to their communities and world. In addition to science, tech, engineering, art + design, and math (STEAM), girls tell us Pretty Brainy gives them skills and perspective on life they otherwise would not gain before graduating high school. What do they list? Confidence building, professional skills, empathy, patience and persistence, collaboration and teamwork, self-compassion, resilience, and more. Sound like something great to be a part of? Join us today.
Who Are We?
Pretty Brainy, founded in 2008 as the originator of STEM-inspired apparel for girls, is today a 501(c)(3) education nonprofit organization. We address the need for real-world, student-centered STEAM learning — learning that is alive because students choose the focus, drive the creative decisions, explain the science, and own the outcomes of their work and its impact for others. We create experiences that blend STEAM with service learning and appeal to the importance girls place on creativity, innovation and giving back.
